Baby food giant Cow and Gate is urgently recalling baby food sold in some major supermarkets in the U.K. as it may contain rubber.
Some rubber pieces have been found in their ‘Cheesy Broccoli Bake’, which is made for babies that are above the age of 10 months.
The Food Standards Agency (FCA) have said that the rubber would “make this product unsafe to eat.”
The company said: “Nothing is more important to us than the safety and quality of our products.
“We are sorry this has happened and would like to reassure parents that this is an isolated incident.”
Cheesy Broccoli Bake 250g jars are sold in most major supermarkets within the U.K. including the likes of Tesco and Asda. The food affected has code 28122020 and a best before date of 28/12/2020 – if it does DO NOT feed it to your baby.
Customers can return the product to the store for a full refund, Cow and Gate said. If you do not have a receipt, you can still return it.
