Well here’s a story that will not want to read just before lunch. You may already know this, but British men’s habits around their underwear that they wear can be well…..disgusting is one way to put it
According to reports, a new study found that men are holding onto their pants no matter what condition they are in for a long period of time. These newly released damning figures have shown that one in three men wear their underwear for two days AT LEAST before putting them into the washing basket, and let’s face it – those are the ones who are admitting it.
Most men keep their underwear for at least 5 years, but some men keep them for over TEN YEARS. Yes, you read that correctly – TEN. Now that is nasty!
A brand new nationwide survey of 2,000 men confirmed that British bachelors keep their underwear for two years longer than men in a relationship. Which is interesting as it confirms that once in a relationship, you somewhat let yourself go!
Rob Nicholson, who is the owner of Box & Scandal, which organised the new survey said about that matter: ‘These statistics show that UK men aren’t taking their underwear seriously enough. We believe it’s because they are too busy to think about it. ‘The average male Brit’s underwear is nearly five years old – although one in 10 hold onto their pants for more than a decade – proof that half the population is wearing saggy briefs with more holes than a Swiss cheese.’
So next time you head to the clothes shop to buy some underwear, realise that you might be with them for the next ten years if you’re not careful! Our advice is to change them every day and don’t keep a pair for longer than a year, after all you always wonder what to ask for each Christmas – now you know what to say!
