A massive blaze has caused a Premier Inn hotel to partially collapse near the M5. The fire started yesterday afternoon and is still not fully out.
It has been reported that the front part of the hotel has landed on the A4018 Cribbs Causeway in Bristol today. Fire crews are still tackling the blaze.
Local residents around the area have been warned to keep their windows and doors closed to avoid dangerous smoke fumes going into their homes.
A fire service spokesperson said: “On arrival, firefighters in breathing apparatus entered the building but were withdrawn due to extensive fire that spread quickly causing structural damage.
“Crews worked hard with resources available to control the fire and prevent it spreading to neighbouring businesses.”
It is understood that over 50 fighters attended the blaze. (Image: Avon Fire and Rescue)
